Lift Director Training
Colorado Crane Operators School COURSE

THIS EVENT IS 100% FREE!

In compliance with the updated ASME B30.5: Mobile Crane & Locomotive Cranes, ASME P30.1: Planning for Load Handling Activities, and the new OSHA 1926.1432 Crane Standards, every lifting operation must have an on-site Lift Director responsible for overseeing the entire process.

The Lift Director’s role extends beyond that of the crane operator and site supervisor, with a primary focus on creating and executing both routine and non-routine lift plans. They are empowered to take corrective action during lifting operations, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. Assigning a qualified lift director significantly reduces accidents and enhances job site performance by implementing a systematic approach to lifting operations.

Course Prerequisite:

To qualify for the Lift Director Certification, participants are highly encouraged to first complete our Rigger and Signalperson course.

Lift Director Certification (8-Hour Course):

This comprehensive course covers the following key areas:

  • Role and Importance of Lift Directors on the job site

  • Using Load Charts to prepare a lift plan
  • Rigging Capacities and Methods
  • Lift Plans: Sequence of events, Lifting Equipment (LHE) placement, and usage
