This program is designed to train graduates to become NCCCO Certified Construction Crane Operators and Riggers, preparing them to enter the industry with key certifications.

Program Eligibility:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in the crane industry, a related trade, or a similar field to qualify for the 10-Day Program.

Curriculum Overview:

Students will train to become certified operators of Hydraulic Boom Mobile Cranes and earn four NCCCO Certifications upon successful completion. The course includes both written and practical NCCCO exams, covering:

• (TSS) Fixed Cab Hydraulic Crane
• (TLL) Swing Cab Hydraulic Crane
• (STC) Service Truck Crane

Hands-On Training:

Approximately 53% of the program consists of field training, where students will gain hands-on experience in operating various construction cranes. Field tasks include:

• Designed lifts
• Crane setup
• Smooth operating techniques
• Blind lifts
• Rigging and signaling

Students will practice under the supervision of NCCCO certified instructors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, including crane inspections and setup. Classroom training covers ASME Standards, OSHA regulations, wire rope reeving, load charts, and essential operating techniques. Daily reading and homework assignments are required to reinforce key concepts.

NCCCO Exam Process:

The Colorado Crane Operator School is an approved NCCCO testing facility, which allows students to take their NCCCO exams using the same equipment they trained on. The program is structured to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in these exams. No fees are charged for the initial written and practical exams, though a nominal fee will apply for retesting if needed.

Refund & Cancellation Policy:

• Full refund for students not accepted into the school.
• Cancellations within three (3) business days of registration but before classes start are entitled to a full refund, minus a maximum cancellation fee of $150 or 25% of the contract price (whichever is less).
• If a student withdraws after classes begin, a percentage of tuition and fees will be retained, based on the number of contact hours attended.

Weather & Equipment Delays:

All outdoor activities will be rescheduled in the event of significant weather changes, as safety is a priority. Mechanical issues with cranes or equipment may also cause delays. We will make every effort to reschedule these events at a convenient time.
