Crosshatch Field Schools are hands-on, full-day, on-farm conferences. In addition to workshops with expert teachers, the Field Schools will include one-on-one consulting with farm experts, a local food lunch and a post-workshop social networking hour.

TRACK OPTIONS:
Track 1: Animals on the Small Farm with Ryan Romeyn: Having both vegetables and animals on a small farm takes special consideration. Ryan will cover integration, rotation and field/pasture management, housing, feeding, watering and moving livestock. See Ryan's sheep dog, Blue, in action with a herding demonstration!
Track 2: Market Your Farm with Andrea Romeyn: Let's discuss the other half of farming: marketing. Andrea will cover, simple effective tips for taking decent photos from your smart phone, writing interesting content for social media, creating ads using free software, approaching buyers, professional communication skills, and more. Bring smartphones plus an iPad or laptop computer loaded with a few special photos to get hands-on instruction.
Track 3: Hoophouse Growing with Austin Weed and Stacy Sangsland: Winter extension starts in the summer, and few do it better than the folks at Providence Farm. The farm hoophouse crew will take you deep into season extension with sessions on site selection, structures and designs, warm season crops, cool season crops, soil fertility, pest management for protected cultivation as well as water, light and temperature specifics. Six packed hours and you will leave with hoophouse success that much closer.

$45-Early bird pricing is available from April 13 - June 15.
$55-Regular pricing is from June 16 - August 11. Ticket sales for Field School Summer close on August 12.
