Time: 1-2pm

In honor of Brain Injury Awareness Month, Michelle Wild, President/CEO of Best Education Strategies and Technology, Inc will be hosting a 2-part webinar series, Boost Your Brainpower: Executive Function in Action.

Join YOUR Washington Department of Veterans Affairs, Brain Injury & Recovery Program, in this 2-part webinar series that will provide practical skills to help your clients manage their time effectively, organize their daily life, and handle emotional responses when routines change. We'll talk about strategies to help them maintain emotional balance and adapt to unexpected changes. Learn to help empower your clients to increase their independence and confidence instead of relying on others.

About the Presenter: Ms. Wild is a tenured, award-winning Professor of Special Programs & Services at Coastline College since 1986. She has taught cognitive retraining and psychosocial skills designed to foster greater confidence, autonomy, productivity and personal/community engagement to over 1000 adults at various stages of their brain injury journey in the school’s Acquired Brain Injury Program. She has an exemplary track record in conceptualizing and leading projects aimed at addressing the educational needs of the ABI community in her seven years as CEO of BEST, and in her capacity as Project Director/Chief Instructional Designer through grants and contracts with several federal, state, and local agencies across the country throughout her career.

The WDVA Brain Injury & Recovery-TBI Program supports and represents every veteran in Washington State who has incurred a Brain Injury or is experiencing symptoms of Brain Injury. That means that we:

  • Provide one on one support
  • Provide answers, resources, and referrals
  • Support the groups and agencies that are out there doing great things for our veterans
  • Provide training and advice to any agency, group, summit, conference, etc. that wants to know more about how to help veterans living with Brain Injury or experiencing symptoms related to Brain Injury.
