What to Bring: A Charged device

Description:

As teachers expand on their learning from LETRS Volume 2, this course will provide

administrators, literacy coaches, and curriculum coaches with tools to support

classroom teachers with bringing LETRS to life in their classrooms. Takeaways include

language comprehension classroom “look-fors”, reg flags to notice, questions to pose

during coaching cycles and post observations, and suggestions for supporting or

extending the learning for all teachers. This session will unpack each of the five

language comprehension strands.


Presenter:

Cindy Hutchins is a district Title 1 Literacy Coach for Buncombe County Schools. She

has worked as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional coach, and district

level literacy interventionist coach and is passionate about the scientific approach to

reading instruction.
