This multi-faceted renovation and addition project merged the old and new of this existing historic buildings. The renovation portion involved the historic David T. Howard building. This complex of building was built in phases in 1924, 1928, and 1948. The existing 4 story building was primarily reinforced concrete frame construction with terracotta block in-fill walls, brick exterior, and plastered interior walls. Some of the renovations includes lead abatement, exterior brick restoration, window replacement, plaster repair replacement, terrazzo and wood floor restoration, major structural repairs, roof replacement, and MEP and Fire suppression modernization. The primary new construction addition was a braced steel frame four story structure cladded with curtain wall and aluminum metal panels. Other additions included a 2-story administration area and a 2-story media center.
