The Alaska EMS Symposium hosted by the Southern Region EMS Council is the largest EMS training conference in Alaska. Emergency Trauma Technicians, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, and emergency clinicians from around Alaska come to Anchorage to engage in continuing their medical education by listening to speakers from around the country and from their peers.
Southern Region EMS Council is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to assist EMS agencies within our region with sustainability, training, and equipping through several means, including mini-grants, capital equipment grants, technical expertise, and training for initial certifications, refreshers for EMS and AHA courses, and continuing medical education.
Pre-Symposium days (November 4-5) are dedicated to certification classes as well as half & full-day workshops.
The symposium (November 6-8) is 3 days of 60-minute break-out sessions where attendees can listen and interact with experts in their fields and increase their knowledge to take back to their communities with them.
