SPEAKERS - we need your help!
F.I.E.R.O. is officially opening its Call for Presentations for its Annual 2025 Fire Station Design Symposium. It will be held September 21-24, 2025, again at the Hyatt Regency Greenville, S.C.
The deadline for submittals is Saturday, November 30th.
On Sunday, September 21, we are trying something new this year. This will be a full-day Seminar on fire station contamination. Topic areas include, but not limited to:
· What is contamination?
· What are the adverse health effects?
· How does it get in the station?
· What are optimal designs to minimize contamination?
· What are key components of a contamination cleaning area?
· What equipment is needed for cleaning?
· Diesel exhaust removal systems
· Overview of best practices implemented and used by health-conscious departments.
· And a KEY point for all departments—How do you retrofit an existing station to minimize contamination? We welcome case studies.
· Tools for selling governing bodies on the need for funding contamination control measures.
· What are some alternative solutions to minimizing contamination, i.e., mobile units?
· Other contamination related topics
SPECIAL NOTE: For this one-day seminar, we want you to tell us how much time (in minutes) you need to cover your suggested topic. We welcome less (or maybe more) of our typical 45-minute time slots.
And, as always: please don’t forget to offer topics for our Symposium on Monday, Tuesday, and half-day Wednesday.
