USF Health Department of Otolaryngology Presents
Training Course by Tampa Bay's Voice Experts
Videostroboscopy and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing
Videostroboscopy is a vocal fold imaging procedure performed by Laryngologists (MD) and Speech Language Pathologists (SLP). Endoscopic visualization of the laryngeal structures, assessment of acoustic and aerodynamic functions of the voice, and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) help providers diagnose disorders and make appropriate treatment plans. The care of a patient may encompass medical, surgical, and/or behavioral therapy interventions. Therefore, the close partnership of MD and SLP are essential for optimal patient care. Spend the weekend with us discovering a way to implement videostroboscopy, laryngeal function testing, and FEES in your clinic and ultimately, learning how to optimally work with your MD or SLP partners.
