Description:

This session will cover NCEES topics for Policy and Practice to help Principals, Assistant

Principals, as well as Site Administrators. We will share best practices for providing

targeted feedback focusing on the language of the rubric and dive deeper in the standards,

elements and descriptors. Topics to be outlined include: reviewing the Teacher Evaluation

Process, Teacher Plan, Assigning Rights, Navigating the Staff Evaluation Dashboard, and

running reports to help identify plan completion steps and additional data. Resources will be

provided for you to take back to your PSUs.


Presenters:

Brandon Sutton – Dr. Brandon Sutton is a native of western NC and has served in a

variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he was the Chief Academic Officer for Swain County

Schools before becoming the Western Regional Director for DPI in March 2024.

Donna Currie – Donna Currie is the NCEES Product Manager. Her roles in education over

the last 27 years have included being a Digital Subscription and Technology Analyst, Teacher,

Instructional Technology Facilitator, Digital Teaching and Learning Specialist, Virtual Academy

Coordinator, and Professional Development Coordinator. Donna strives to provide support,

training, and resources supporting educators.
