The 2024 CAPHLD 75th Annual Institute will be held in Walnut Creek, September 30 – October 2, 2024
Monday, September 30: Partner’s Day followed by Corporate Partner’s Reception and Exhibits
Tuesday, October 1: Symposium Day and Exhibits
Wednesday, October 2: CAPHLD Business Meeting
Meeting Type: In-person event, with a virtual option for presenters: Presentations will not be recorded.
Conference Registration
Full Conference Registration: $375 (3-days)
Daily Conference Registration: $125
Symposium Speaker registration is waived for the day of presentation (code applied during registration).
Volunteer registration is waived for the day of assistance (code applied during registration). Please reach out to Stephanie Trammell for a list of available opportunities. There will be limited volunteer opportunities available this year.

A limited number of rooms are available, so please make your reservations early to get the negotiated CAPHLD group rate of $199.00 per night (plus tax). Deadline for CAPHLD group rate: August 30

BART
Pleasant Hill / Contra Costa Centre Bay Area Rapid Transportation (BART) station is located 0.2miles, 4min. walking distance, from Walnut Creek Embassy Suites. Many stations, including Pleasant Hill, have a daily parking fee of $3-$6, depending on the location. BART connections are also directly accessible from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San Francisco Bay/Oakland International Airport (OAK; via shuttle).

Travel Awards
The CAPHLD Program Committee is pleased to announce the availability of four travel awards based on financial need to allow individuals representing their public health laboratory to attend the meeting.
If you would be representing your laboratory and cannot attend due to County travel or funding restrictions, send an email to Stephanie Trammell, citing your funding limitations including a brief description of why you will need support. Four awards are available, but applications must be made promptly. Please reply to stephanie.trammell@cchealth.org no later than August 12, 2024.
The award is intended to defray actual registration, transportation, meal and lodging expenses. Reimbursement will be based on actual expenses following the guidelines in the attached CAPHLD travel policy. Meals will not be reimbursed for CAPHLD sponsored meals.
