Junior Spring Trip


On Junior Spring Trip, 11th Grade students from across YES Prep Public Schools have the opportunity to travel together and visit college campuses. By attending Junior Spring Trip you will explore and develop:


  • Your College List
  • Your College Knowledge
  • Your Exposure to College
  • Your College Aspiration


On the trip you will learn specifically about the colleges, but also be able to compare different types of colleges:

  • Public vs. Private
  • Large vs. Small
  • Urban vs. Rural


Your Trip - To Washington, DC


Your trip is to Washington, DC. You will have the opportunity to tour colleges like Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University, George Washington University, the University of Virginia, and other colleges.


Your trip will depart from George Bush Intercontinental AIrport (IAH) flying on United Airlines. Communication regarding the terminal will be shared closer to the trip.


You should arrive at the airport at 5:45 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, and will return to Houston on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 7:00 PM. Students, you should be dropped off and picked up directly from the airport by your parents or an approved adult with authorization to pick you up.
