On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), in association with STRIKEWERX, is hosting an invitation-only Virtual Pitch Day focused on developing the technology needed to modernize two legs of the nuclear triad, one of the Department of Defense’s top priorities. This is an opportunity for eligible small businesses to pitch ideas for solving some of AFNWC’s technical challenges.

Direct-to-Phase II proposals submitted under the Air Force 22.2 SBIR solicitation; topic X222-PDCSO1 will undergo a three step evaluation/selection process: Initial Peer Review, Clarifications, and Pitch Day. After proposal receipt and Initial Peer Review, selectable companies will be invited to the AFNWC Virtual Pitch Day on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Companies’ Direct-to-Phase II pitches will be used to validate the Initial Peer Review. Invited companies must participate in the Pitch Day event to be eligible for award.  

Key Dates for the AFNWC Pitch Day

• Aug. 12, 2022: Virtual Communication Check (5-minutes per company)

• Aug. 24, 2022: AFNWC Pitch Day Commencing at 8:00 A.M. CT
