Southern Region EMS council is a not for profit organization whose mission is to assist EMS agencies within our region with sustainability, training and equipping through several means including mini-grants, capital equipment grants, providing technical expertise and by providing training for initial certifications, refreshers for EMS and AHA courses and continuing medical education.
The Alaska EMS Symposium hosted by Southern Region EMS Council is the largest EMS training conference in Alaska. Emergency Trauma Technicians, EMT's, Paramedics and emergency clinicians from around Alaska all come to Anchorage to engage in continuing their medical education from listening to speakers from around the country and from their peers.
Pre-Symposium days (18-19 October) are dedicated to certification classes as well as half & full day workshops.
Symposium (20-22 October) is 3 days of 90 minute break out sessions where attendees can listen and interact with experts in their fields and increase their knowledge to take back to their communities with them.

Opening/Closing Session $500
90 minute break outs $250/session
**Southern Region will also provide air travel and hotel accommodations for our Symposium speakers.
Workshops and Pre-symposium certification classes are not on a set fee schedule and we will work with organizations and people in negotiating what we can in the interest of both parties.
